Small changes for lasting independence
“Home modifications” covers a variety of updates and additions to a consumer’s home, big and small. A small modification can make a huge difference in utilizing your home effectively and independently. Something as simple as handrails and grab bars can be considered an accessible home modification for our consumers.
Through various grant funders and other alternative funding, DRC offers a home modification program removing architectural barriers within the home including:
- Ramps
- Door Widening
- Door frame leveling
- Handrails
- Grab Bars
- Shower chairs
- Hand held shower sprays
