Resources to keep you in the Community

Circle Photo: two yound men sit at a table looking at the camera.DRC believes all people, regardless of disability, have the right to live their lives independently in the community to the greatest extent possible. Therefore, DRC provides assistance to persons with disabilities and their families in transitioning from nursing homes and other institutional facilities into a community housing options of their choosing. In addition, we empower our consumers with additional independent living skills.

DRC is not residential or medical, however, our advocates assist in navigating these areas with the consumer in order to help them live independently. For more information, contact our Information and Referral Services to discuss our Transition Options.

Most of our programs are free to low cost, though there are waiting lists for some services. If you are interested in our Transition Programs, please contact us at 706-778-5355 or complete a Self-Referral Form.
